Flower Dissection

Yesterday we wrapped up our plants and animals science unit with a hands-on review of the parts of a flower and their roles in pollination and reproduction.  These 4th graders continue to excite us with their growing knowledge and love of learning! 

Snacking like a Settler

Today our 4th graders enjoyed a snack inspired by the settlers of the Mississippi Territory! We watched heavy cream turn to whipped cream and finally (after a great deal of shaking) separate into butter and buttermilk... oh what fun!
