Snacking like a Settler

Today our 4th graders enjoyed a snack inspired by the settlers of the Mississippi Territory! We watched heavy cream turn to whipped cream and finally (after a great deal of shaking) separate into butter and buttermilk... oh what fun!

    These are precious!! McKenzie thought this was so cool. It's the first thing she told me about when I picked her up yesterday.
